Foods That Boost Your Memory

It's actually the opposite. They are confident that they can give the general public the information needed in order to take charge of one's life. 

 Knowledge equals power. The more knowledge one has about how to boost memory, the more power that person will have in taking action to fight the natural declines and negative effects of aging. 

To preserve brain functioning, to prevent memory loss, and to keep the brain working at its fullest potential, it’s vital to eat the following foods:

Salmon - Oily fish has DHA which is an omega-3 fatty acid. Besides eating your daily serving of fish, it is also recommended to intake omega-3 supplements to prevent memory loss.

Eggs - Soft or hard boiled eggs are presumed to preserve brain functioning. Eggs have choline, which produces more of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine in the brain—acetylcholine has been linked to the encoding of new memories.

Walnuts - Walnuts contain alpha-linolenic acid which is also considered to be an essential amino acid—meaning you have to obtain it from your diet, as your body cannot synthesize it. They also contain an antioxidant which helps to protect your body and immune system from free radicals that are destructive to the brain tissue, blood, and organs. 

Rosemary – Researchers have found that rosemary oil aroma can act as a therapeutic agent, and that those exposed to the aroma perform better on both speed and accuracy tests. 

Berries - Blueberries or strawberries are great for helping to increase one's memory. Use them in cereal, muffins, pancakes, and yogurt for a better tasting treat. 

Kale - Leafy greens, especially Kale, are great for boosting brain power. Try eating them braising them in olive oil and garlic. 

Coffee - If you don't drink at least 2 cups of coffee per day, give it a try. 2 cups is necessary to improve memory as well as helping the brain improve its synaptic health. 

Beets - These are fantastic against memory loss and all that's needed is a cup of beet juice per day. It causes blood to flow more freely to the brain which helps to heal all of the intricate parts that work together to help you work, read, play, and remain vibrantly alive in both mind and spirit as long as you live. 

Red Wine – In a recent study, it was determined that polyphenols found in grapes and in wine were shown to decrease a protein linked with Alzheimer’s disease.

Turkey, Chicken, Almonds, Yogurt, and Cheese are also included in the above list and they all have something called L-Tyrosine. L-Tyrosine boosts dopamine levels in the part of the brain that helps to increase mental alertness and memory. L-Tyrosine is also known to increase energy levels and should be taken with all of the various B-Vitamins such as Niacin, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Biotin, Pyridoxine, Cyanocobalamin, and Folic Acid.  You don't have to buy these separately, as they come in a combination supplement that includes all of them. 

Exercise, meditation, rest, and relaxation also greatly help maintain your memory. Stress is a major issue and is also an overwhelming factor that causes you to be more susceptible to mental illness. The brain can only handle so much stress before repercussions develop.

To remain healthy and young even in your later years, it's vital that you eat the right foods, exercise, and fully relax your body and mind frequently.
